The cost of classes vary based on length of class, number of students, and number of instructors. We do offer some classes free of charge to the community, schools, corporations, etc. For example, we’re a certified Stop the Bleed® provider, which is an outstanding curriculum managed by the American College of Surgeons. We offer this 2-hour class free of charge* in support of our mission.

A 4-8 hour class with one instructor ranges from approximately $1,250 – $3,500 depending on expertise, required equipment, support needs, curriculum considerations, and timelines.

Nearly all of our classes can be customized to meet your specific situation / need.

*There are maximum student counts per class, and some travel costs may apply depending on class location.

Student count is dictated by class objectives and, relatedly, number of instructors. In some certificate classes, the ratio is mandated by an external certifying body. For example, NAEMT mandates an instructor-to-student ratio of no more than 1:6.

That said, most hands-on Con10gency classes can accommodate 20-30 with up to one instructor, some can go up to 40. We’ve found the sweet spot to be 25-30. Lecture-only classes can be larger and are constrained only by the space available.

That varies based on class objectives. We work with our clients to customize training solutions based on a number of factors, including time available. The objectives we can cover will scale up or down based on the available class length (or vice versa).

Our most common classes are 4- or 8-hours long. We do offer the community a 2-hour Stop the Bleed® class. We also offer some more in-depth trainings for up to 40-hours, and an in-depth 56-hour Rescue Task Force training for our first responders.

There’s quite a range.

That’s great! And like any skill, it’s important to continually practice what you’ve learned and stay-up-to-date on the latest recommendations. We recommend annual re-certification or refresher courses for most students. (Certainly, if you’re using these skills regularly than your need for a refresh is less urgent; a focus on new methodologies, updated advice, and new tools is of more importance.)

We’re happy to work with your staff virtually or in-person on refresher classes, depending on course and objectives.

EAP stands for Emergency Action Plan. Whether or not you need one depends on your safety preparedness strategy. We recommend every organization be prepared for any emergency, and an EAP helps you toward that goal.

This important document provides personalized guidance on how to protect oneself from loss of life, serious injury, or property loss should there be an actual disaster, manmade event, or life-threatening emergency. Since an emergency often occurs suddenly and without warning, an EAP is designed to be to flexible to accommodate response contingencies of varying magnitude.

A site assessment is an onsite visit by one of our consultants who walks through your facility top to bottom reviewing for safety and security concerns.

We’ve completed site assessments for corporations, schools, daycare centers, medical facilities, gyms, churches, etc.

There are a variety of reasons to complete a site assessment, including a specific security threat or concern, insurance/liability needs, a want to be proactive, or even plain old curiosity!

A site assessment starts with an interview with an available staff member or two to understand any specific concerns, and then they work with facilities or operations to assess the site.

The consultant will walk through every floor of the building, looking in all rooms, look at all windows, entrances/exits, etc. from the POV of security considerations.

Following a thorough inspection of the facility, the consultant will provide a written assessment within 1-2 weeks that includes recommendations for consideration.

It’s important to note that the report contains advice based on best practices. No facility is obligated to adopt the recommendations; you must look at the overall impact of each recommendation and weigh the benefits prior to implementation.

Gear expires at different rates, so make sure you take a look at expiration dates on the equipment you receive. It’s always a good idea to check that when you receive “sale” products or products that are priced “to good to be true” as well. (They’re often priced that way because they’re nearing their expiration date.) That doesn’t necessarily mean their entire functionality will go away, but their efficacy will likely be reduced depending on the product.

Keep in mind that a lot of gear is one-time use, especially when dealing with biohazardous material.

It’s very easy for knock-off products to be sold online. We often see counterfeits sold at a 50% or greater price reduction than what we know to be the cost of making an item.

If you have questions, ask! More than once, we’ve had customers come to us with a product and a price and we’ve verified for them. It’s important to us that you get quality gear. Certainly, we’d love to be your chosen provider, but what’s more important is that you have the gear (and that you know how to use it).

Often, aggregate sellers allow anyone to sell products on their site without quality assurances. They rely on a user review platform to help weed-out dishonest or inaccurate, low-quality products. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always work.
